The strategy of this course was to navigate through the logic and process of branding, and learn how each piece and part could be integrated into the full brand promise. After selecting a dead, dying, or defunct company—in this case Sega—the goal was to breathe new life into the soul of the brand. Brand grids, archetypal characters, and points of interest were developed. The next step was to determine the look and feel of the new brand direction, and throughout the logo iteration process, images and content were simultaneously developed in order to complete the project on time.
